Dr Niraj Vora - Patient Reviews
Mr. Harshad Parbhoo, left Total Hip Replacement
It's been about 5 months since you operated on my hip for total hip replacement. I have settled in well regarding my normal routine and more importantly I am also playing golf! I have no aches or pains and following your protocols carefully.
As you know I was in tremendous distress for 8 months prior to meeting you, and your demeanor and honesty gave my wife and I the confidence to go ahead with the procedure.
It's a wonder that we found you on Google and my neighbor in Mumbai equally had positive sentiments, as the saying goes "the Lord works in wonderous ways".
I also want to thank you for the double knee replacement on my 75 year old Mother in law. I am glad to report that she too is slowly on the path to a more pleasant lifestyle.
I will not hesitate in recommending any friends of ours to seeing you.
Bhavna extends her gratitude and invites you to sample her hospitality here in Zambia.
As I close, I beg you to continue that demeanor that places so much HOPE and confidence in those who are in pain and distress.
As Always

Mr. Gulab Gandhi (Age 78), left Hip Replacement
I am 78 years of age and was suffering from severe knee, back and hip pain since 2001. I am also a patient of Hypertension and Parkinson’s disease and have had Cerebral Strokes in 2004 and 2009. I consulted Dr Niraj Vora for my Severe Knee and Back Pain as I was unable to walk in August 2015.
Dr Niraj Vora diagnosed that my left hip needed replacement as this was causing pain in my knee and back. Dr Niraj Vora replaced my Hip Joint in September 2015 and since then I have been free from any pain in either knee or back or hip. I have been walking freely without any pain soon after the operation. I recently travelled to Vaishno Devi - Jammu, Srinagar- Kashmir, Haridwar, Rishikesh, and several other places by Train, Bus, etc without any difficulty. I am back on my feet with full confidence. I credit Dr Niraj Vora and his wonderful surgical skills for this! I wish I had met Dr Niraj Vora earlier.
God Bless Dr Niraj Vora!

Mr. Agnelo Colaco (Age: 43 years)
I am Agnelo Colaco staying in Vasai. 4 years back I started facing problem while walking. We met many doctor's who suggested Hip Replacement Surgery but refused to take responsibility of any post operation complications and problems due to my medical condition. Somebody suggested Dr Niraj Vora(complete correction), Andheri Bellevue Hospital. When we met Dr. Neeraj Vora he assured us that there will not be any issues and he will be there to take all the responsibility if anything goes wrong this gave us much needed confidence. We went ahead with my left hip joint replacement operation in 2012 and right hip joint replacement in 2016.
Today I can walk normally and can do everything just because of Dr Neeraj Vora. Expertise of Hip Joint Operation, Support given to patient, Post Operative Care all this make Dr Neeraj Vora Number one doctor.
I will be grateful to Dr Niraj Vora for giving me back my normal life. Thanks you Doctor & God Bless you.
Thanks & Regards,
Rajesh C
Mr. Norman Stanier (Age: 68 years), undergone Right Total Hip Replacement
Niraj Vora contacted me by email as soon as I requested information, from my home in the United Kingdom, about the possibility of hip surgery in Mumbai. This was to set the pattern for our relationship and any questions I have had have been answered in a very timely manner. I was able to schedule a Total Hip Replacement at a time to fit in with an already scheduled World tour.
Dr Vora has an innate gift as a communicator and a student of humanity which totally compliment his skills as a extraordinary surgeon.
He set up the communication with Sunridges Specialty Hospital and came to visit me when I arrived at the hospital even though it was a Sunday afternoon. He came in to see me post op and his team monitored my progress on an hourly basis for the duration of my stay. Within 48 hours I was walking unaided and up and down stairs totally pain free and walked out of the hospital at the end of my 5 day visit.
All my post op queries have been answered and I am a completely and utterly satisfied patient. Niraj Vora is a surgeon and a teacher, a communicator and a healer and one of life's very special people. It has been a privilege to spend time with him and under his care and I count myself truly blessed to have come across such an individual.

Double packing in Week 5
Ann and I had a good time in Goa and spent a lot of time in the water and walking on wonderful smooth firm sand !! Fantastic rehab and just what the Doctor ordered!
We then went to Kerola to the Backwaters and then to Fort Kochi.
We are now in Sri Lanka and after a few days in Columbo have moved south by Trishaw and bus, both again great rehab.
I send this pic to show I can now, quite comfortably carry both our bags.
When we used to Canoe Expedition in the Canadian Border Area they term it "Double Packing" as one is carrying two bags.
These two weigh about 32 Kg.
So,many thanks yet again to you and your team for making this possible and do share the photo with them.
Best wishes Norman

Dr. Veena Sukhada Padmanabhan (Age: 72 years)
I was first diagnosed with Osteoarthritis of the Left Hip in February 2012. I was also advised that this was a progressive condition and sooner or later I would need Total Hip Replacement [THR]. At that time I was fairly comfortable and only required painkillers once or twice a week at best. So I procrastinated and carried on with the occasional painkiller.
But like it or not, the condition worsened and I needed pain medication more and more often. Finally, in early 2014, I went to Dr. Tushar Mankad, for a second opinion. He confirmed the diagnosis and re-emphasized the need for THR. He also told me that this was not life threatening and I could choose my time and place for the surgery.
It still took me another 10 months to finally get convinced. I gradually found quality of life decreasing as walking was becoming increasingly difficult and the debilitating pain became a constant companion.
Then came the next big question. Which doctor to go to for the surgery?
Dr. Mankad was not an option as I live in Mumbai and he is based in Vadodara! But back I went to him to ask for advice.
Dr. Mankad led me to Dr. Niraj Vora. It still took me a few days to set up the first appointment to meet Dr. Vora. I went into the first consultation with a million questions and doubts, many of them a result of my medical training – I am sure!
Dr. Vora is a thorough professional and extremely patient with his patients. He examined me and then explained the entire procedure for THR in great detail. I found most of my queries being answered without my having to even ask the questions. He is an extremely busy man, but for his patients he has all the time in the world. I really appreciate this very rare quality in a surgeon!
He was also very prompt in responding to any queries that we raised to him subsequently on email, at all odd hours of the day as well.
I was finally operated on 22nd January 2015 and with Physiotherapy, I was walking without support in 3 months! Today after nearly 10 months, I am extremely comfortable walking on all kinds of surfaces and even climbing steps. The pain and the medication are all a thing of the past!
I will be eternally grateful to both Dr. Mankad (for introducing me to Dr. Vora) and to Dr. Vora! Not only is Dr. Vora a surgeon par excellence, he is also a very fine individual! Always smiling and fill of life, always has time for his patients. Responds to the silliest of questions and ensures the person is assured from all aspects before moving forward.
I will recommend him to all my friends and anyone looking for orthopedic advice without reservations.

Ritu Paul (Age: 36 years)
Hello Dr. Vora
It was great meeting you after three years. You look exactly the same.....same gold chains, same smile, same attitude which breathe in confidence in patients. And believe me I knew you will be wearing blue shirt!!!!!! As per your "prescription" I had kala-khatta baraf ka gola at Juhu Beach. It was really good. Wish you all the best.
I am Ritu Paul, 36 years old teacher by profession in Punjab. I had suffered a heavy bone fusion for about 21 years that I had to struggle with six inches shorter right leg than left leg. I am thankful to Dr Niraj Vora for Correctional Surgery for my Deteriorated Hip. I am today happily leading a normal life and able to fulfill my fetish for footwear after dragging my feet with the help of aided sandals for over a decade. For all these years I was mocked about my uneven feet and the trauma was intense. Now the pain is gone and I can live a normal life. I have bought more than 60 pairs of footwear.

On the 30th of December 2014 I had a total right hip replacement surgery done by Dr Niraj Vora, and all thanks to that amazing Doctor, it has been my best New Year gift ever. Since I am from Mauritius, the only way we were in contact was through mails, and then we booked the surgery date from Mauritius itself. On our arrival to India (My wife, daughter and I), and on meeting the Doctor at Sunridges Specialty Hospital after 2 days, we were convinced and were feeling relieved that I’ll be under proper care and will undergo a successful surgery.
On the day of the Total Hip Replacement Surgery in the Operation Theatre, I had no idea what he did to my hip, but to me it is a miracle which has eventually taken all my pain away.
I had an indeed very quick recovery after the surgery, with the helpful crew at Sunridges Specialty Hospital and with the frequent visit of Dr Vora and his team, and not to forget, the Physiotherapist. Even when travelling back to Mauritius, with the advices of Dr Vora, I faced no difficulties at all, and now it’s nearly four weeks since the surgery has been done.
I feel no pain at all, and icing on the cake, the way I walk is a lot better than before since one of my legs was shorter than the other. Dr Vora has indeed been a blessing in disguise to my family and I, and I am looking forward to have a total left hip replacement soon by our God sent Doctor. Sincerely, we are so satisfied and feeling so blessed for getting such a friendly and experienced Doctor. Things have turned out better than expected, and a million thanks will never be enough.
Ms. Ritu
"I consider Dr. Vora as somebody who literally gave me a second life! With close 21 years of walking disability (with one leg shorter than the other by close to 4 inches) I had almost forgotten to walk like normal people. More than the walking disability, in my present 30s I had started developing other problems like back aches, muscular pains and many more.
Consultation with Dr. Vora and his advice to go for a Hip Replacement was God send! I had consulted many other doctors prior to visiting him but he was the only surgeon who managed to instill confidence in me and convince me that this is the right path.
Dr Niraj Vora is a very able and compassionate surgeon, and has always given me and my family an assurance that he is approachable and the fact that "no question/concern is trivial". He operated me in May 2011, and today more than one year after the surgery I walk like any other person, flaunt many pairs of shoes, exercise, and lead a very normal & confident life"
