Dr Niraj Vora - Patient Reviews
Mrs. Prema Thakkar - Bilateral Robotic Knee Replacement

Gosh! Finally, I met you! If it were not for the referral of our physiotherapist, and her glowing words about your success with TKR procedures, I wouldn't have decided to undergo Total Knee Replacement surgery.
From our first consultation at Nanavati Hospital, Dr. Niraj Vora's expertise and confidence were immediately apparent. His extensive proficiency and specialized knowledge in TKR procedures were evident as he conducted a thorough synopsis and educated both me and my family about the issues with both knees. His approach instilled a great deal of confidence in me, assuring me that the surgery would enable me to walk independently once again. His fun and engaging personality, along with his effort to communicate with me in Gujarati, made me feel comfortable and well-informed.
On the day of the surgery, Dr. Vora's timeliness, meticulous precision, and a keen eye for detail were truly impressive. The procedure went smoothly, and he took the time to explain every aspect of the surgery to my son and husband, ensuring we understood what had been done.
Dr. Vora's quick, upfront, and straightforward communication style is both refreshing and appreciated. It is a critical aspect of his profession, and he excels at it.
I strongly recommend Dr. Niraj Vora as the best orthopedic surgeon specializing in TKR procedures. His skill, dedication, and compassionate approach make him exceptional in his field.
Thank you, Dr. Vora, for giving me the gift of mobility and improving my quality of life, as well as bringing positive change to my family's life. We are immensely grateful for your expertise and care.
I will keep you in my prayers and best wishes for the future. I hope our paths cross again under healthier circumstances.
Sincerely,
Prema Thakkar.
Mrs Bhavna Joukani 59 years - Knee Replacement Surgery

For me Dr Niraj L Vora is God sent to me..
The reason is bcoz after my Right knee surgery was a bad experience with my another Dr so
I was very scared to go for my Left Total Knee Replacement Surgery
But 2 years back when i came to know about Dr Vora i was even scared to go to him but then also i went for my checkup
When i came back i was so happy meeting him that i decided I'm gonna do my surgery with him only but again i was very very scared bcoz of my previous experience
But finally i made up my mind again after 2 years and he gave me so much time & explained to me everything very nicely which normally other Dr's don't..
Finally went for my Total Knee Replacement of my Left knee on 11th of July 2023
I just can't put in words how happy i was after my this surgery
On the first day only hevencouraged me to walk and i was like Nooo
But he said you can do it and i did it
On the third day he said to climb up the stairs and i was like Noways but again he encouraged me and said you can do it
And i did it ooh my god that was unbelievable..
He used to come and see me every single day which other Dr's don't do
After the surgery they come just once for just one minute and then disappear like they don't know me..
He replies my msgs immediately not like other Dr's they don't open my chat or reply from 4 years..
How much also i write for this Dr is less..
Dr Niraj Vora is very friendly & I'm fully 1000% satisfied with him..
Never ever i have met a Dr like him..
Keep it up Dr 👏🏻👏🏻 💯
God bless you always with the best of everything in life 🙌🏻
Mrs Aparna Guha (Age: 69 years) - Knee Replacement Surgery

For us Dr Vora was god sent. We were very skeptical about our Mom’s knee replacement surgery at the start but after the 1st consultation, it completely changed my mom’s mind set.
The confidence and assurance of Dr Vora cannot be explained in words. The entire process from the 1st consultation appointment to post surgery appointment all done via eMail.
Dr. Vora is a thorough professional. He was with my mom at every step of the process. Dr. Vora has set the standards so high that it has trickled down to his entire team. A true leader in every sense. We did the surgery @ Advanced Specialty. The hospital staff, hygiene and after care offered to my mom was world class.
For aging parents who are skeptical about knee replacement, I want to assure you that with Dr. Vora the patient is in the safest hands.
No wonder Dr. Vora is one of the top 5 surgeons for his specialty in Mumbai for a while. We are really fortunate and blessed to have worked with Dr. Vora.
Thank you so much Dr. Vora, Dr. Singh and the entire staff at Advanced.
Mr Sudhir Kumar Kanojia (Age: 58 years) - Knee Replacement Surgery

Dr. Niraj Vora is an excellent Doctor and a wonderful person. I had been facing knee pain for last four years and was looking for a good Knee Replacement surgeon in Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
After showing my case to seven knee replacement surgeons in Ahmedabad and Mumbai I choose Dr. Niraj Vora for my right knee replacement surgery. My ONGC Doctors and my Spine surgeon Dr. Mihir Bapat had helped me in selecting him as my knee replacement surgeon and that really proved fantastic for me.
My surgery was performed at Nanavati Hospital as that was my choice, because my ONGC Doctor has advised me to get it done at Nanavati. Later I came to know that this was his first surgery at Nanavati Hospital.
However it has been a memorable moments for me as Hospital stay and care was also remarkable. My recovery was very phenomenal as I could walk without any stick or crutches on the third day of surgery and even could climb over to stairs without stick. There was no pain in walking from the very next day of surgery.
Dr. Niraj Vora has been very friendly and made us comfortable during the stay in hospital. He is very prompt in answering your queries through mail. Your all queries will be responded in no time, he will not disappoint you. In nutshell he is a perfect choice for your Knee replacement case, you certainly will be delighted to meet him

Mrs Vidya Ramesh Patel - Right Knee in Oct 2017
I am writing this testimonial to thank Dr Niraj Vora for his wonderful expertise for operating upon my right knee in Oct 2017. It's been two years since then. Being from a household of doctors (Husband and son both orthopaedic surgeons), it was but natural to choose the BEST joint replacement surgeon. He made me feel at ease and reduce my anxiety about the process. From being housebound and in extreme pain before surgery his surgical expertise got me to walk for more than 5 km in a day within two months of surgery for pilgrimage trip in Dec 2017. Thank you very much for giving me my independence.
As they say "life is movement, movement is life"; I credit this to Dr Niraj Vora, son of the legendary orthopaedic surgeon Dr L N Vora.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
GOD BLESS

Ms Heidi Von Diergardt - Bilateral Knee Replacement in June 2017
Dr. Vora should not only be famed for his competence as a surgeon but also for possessing the patience of a saint. After considering all of my options I contacted Dr. Vora about knee replacement surgery in July of 2016. Dr. Vora kindly responded after seeing x-rays and assured me that he could help. As many Westerners will appreciate, when you tell friends & family that you are considering traveling to India for a medical procedure, you are often met with disbelief. After much thought and soul-searching (all over the course of a year,) I finally decided to make the journey to Bombay and check things out in person.
Immediately upon arriving in India I was met by other tourists who were there for medical procedures of myriad kinds. All had suggestions about who and where I should see and go, but I stuck to my original plan and scheduled a visit with Dr. Niraj Vora. From our very first encounter this he put me at ease, not with some well-rehearsed sales pitch, but with genuine concern and a sincere professionalism. After a tour of the facility where the surgery was to happen I decided that I would have a double knee replacement.
On the day I arrived in hospital I was met with only kindness and assurances that I would be well cared for. The surgery went to plan and my post-surgical care was like a dream come true. The environment was one of utter calm and tranquility, and the staff was attentive to my every need and concern. Fortunately there were no complications and I was on my feet and walking the very next day. I was seen by Dr. Vora and his staff daily which was both reassuring and confidence-building and went on to a remarkable and speedy recovery. My family was amazed to see me dancing ten days after the procedure, on the day my stitches were removed.
My time in India was one I shall never forget. My experience with Dr. Niraj Vora and his staff was truly life-changing. Not only has my mobility been fully restored but my faith that a surgeon and his staff can treat their patients with true professionalism & kindness that foster positive outcomes. I shall be always grateful to Dr. Vora and will always think of him as I ride my bike around my little neighborhood in Toronto.

Dr. Laxmikant Vora (Age: 86 years)
I am an old man of 86 years, practicing as an Orthopaedic Surgeon
I had pain in both my knees for a long time, and being a doctor, I knew about the complications of surgery, during and after, and so I was not thinking along lines of getting operated.
My son, Niraj, who has come back leaving his practice in Liverpool, UK, for us old parents, succeeded in convincing me to get operated.
I thank him deep down in my heart. After the operation, I was up and about doing my usual professional work within 15 days. There has been no medications, no stick, no walker.
My wife Bindu, and I, are proud of such a good and expert surgeon being our son.
Dr Laxmikant Vora
Mrs. Patricia Alder, Right Knee Replacement
I had been experiencing terrible knee pain for many years and the pain had been progressively getting worse. In 2016, I met a few doctors and all opined the same thing. I needed a Total Knee Replacement (TKR). Almost all the doctors suggested that I lose 20 kilos before the surgery in order for it to go smoothly. Now, I am 70 years old, diabetic and very overweight. Diet I could manage, but exercise was not something I could do, I could barely walk.
I was also afraid. I had heard horror stories of people who underwent Knee Replacement Surgery, had severe pain, never recovered, and were either bedridden or unable to walk unaided. For 6 months, I avoided any mention or decision on the surgery.
In March 2017, at the insistence of my children, I re-visited the idea that I may need surgery, as by then the pain was unbearable. I was more or less leading a sedentary life and even stepping out once a week was an ordeal. I had become a prisoner of my pain.
In March 2017, I made my first appointment with Dr. Niraj Vora at Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai, and he operated on my Right Knee in May 2017.
From that first meeting itself, he made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions and addressed all my children’s concerns. He did not think my weight was an issue and was completely empathetic to my situation. He explained the entire process of the surgery. He was straightforward and transparent about the pain, the after care and the entire process. He put me at ease completely.
During the surgery, he kept me in amused with his humor and before you knew it, I was being wheeled out to my room. The surgery was painless. Post-surgery he saw me every day that I was in hospital and had his super attentive team look in on me - his assistant Dr. Rahul Agarwal, Sarika Gajjar, the ever-smiling Physiotherapist and the anesthesiologist, Dr. Nitin Bhorkar, who held my hand throughout the surgery. He kept my spirits up and he assured me that I would walk out of the hospital, which I did! He arranged for the daily post-operative physiotherapy with Divya Sharma, who got me up and running in no time.
Today 3 months post-surgery, I have no pain, am very independent in my activities, I am able to walk with absolutely no difficulty and have even lost weight. My life has taken a complete 180-degree turnaround.
You will always have more reasons not to do Total Knee Replacement (TKR) than to do it.
Dr. Niraj Vora is the reason you should do it, blindly.
My family and I are extremely grateful to him for all that he has done.
Dr. Niraj, may you always be as kind and as funny and may you continue to a work your magic to turn people’s lives around.
May God Always Bless You.

Mr. PS Wasu (Age: 69 years)
I had knee problem for a number of years. Finally, I was advised Knee Replacement Surgery. In my perception, knee replacement was a major operation and any goof-up on the part of the surgeon could be disastrous. I was scared. It was very important that I chose the right surgeon for the job.
While a surgeon’s competence can be gauged from his profile, there are other factors equally important which need to be looked into. For a surgeon not to go wrong, it is very important for him to have the right mental make-up. It is important that he is caring by temperament and thorough in his approach. Alertness and an eye for detail are other attributes that are a must in a good surgeon.
I studied websites of Mumbai-based knee-replacement surgeons and met a few but couldn’t make up my mind. I was particularly struck by the website of Dr. Niraj Vora. What I noticed there was that every single detail about knee-replacement surgery was explained in a very lucid manner. It could well be a guide for dummies.
My conclusion: Style is the man himself. A person who takes such pains to explain the intricacies of the the subject and excels in doing so will surely excel in whatever he does. I sent him an email enquiring about the surgery. He gave me a detailed reply telling me about different aspects of the surgery. We, in fact, exchanged a number of mails. He gave very satisfactory reply to each of my query and very promptly too.
Next, I sought an appointment and had a meeting with Dr. Vora. Full of energy and enthusiasm, he came across as a very friendly and warm person, over-explaining everything and reinforcing my view of him as Mr. Perfect. Dr. Vora came good on my criterion of being thorough in his approach and having a sense of caring. My intuition said that he was the right surgeon for me.
The surgery was done on 10 May, 2016 and I was in the hospital for 5 days. It was painless surgery and everything went off with clockwork precision. I was looked after extremely well for 5 days. In fact, these 5 days felt like a picnic.
After knee-replacement surgery, one is supposed to walk with the help of a walking stick. So did I. I was able to discard walking stick after 3 weeks. I ventured out of my house after 4 weeks. Now I was good for travelling and went to Lonavala in car after 6 weeks and I enjoyed it.
My life was back to normal. Knee-replacement surgery is like getting a new lease of life. It is my advice to all those who suffer from bad knees to go for surgery. And I strongly recommend Dr. Vora for this purpose. His responsiveness and commitment are exemplary. He does truly stand out among all Knee Replacement Surgeons of Mumbai.

Mrs. Lalitha V
I am writing this on behalf of my mother. She went through Bilateral Knee Replacement on 30th May at Sunridges Hospital, Juhu.
My mother has had knee pain for the last 15 years, in which the last 5 years have been quite bad. After intense wear and tear, acute pain and the tell-tale x-rays, we decided we had no option but to go for replacement surgery. Some research and a few references led us to Dr. Niraj Vora, one of the Best Knee Replacement Surgeons in Mumbai.
It was amazing how approachable Dr. Vora was. He spent a lot of time with us, answering all our questions and addressing our apprehensions. A lot of antibiotics and pain killers do not agree with my mother, so we were very concerned. Dr. Vora ensured us that this should not interfere with the success of her surgery or recovery and assured us that she will be kept comfortable despite her intolerance to medicines. His incredible blend of competence and warmth put us at ease and gave us the confidence to go ahead with surgery.
What followed the first meeting were a series of emails, always promptly answered by Dr. Vora himself, to address our queries and coordinate preparations for surgery.
Sunridges Hospital, geared with state-of-the-art equipment, best-in-class standards in terms of facilities and hygiene, added to our comfort. The warmth and attention-to-detail followed by Dr. Vora’s team during and after surgery, the attentiveness and care shown by every single member of their staff, and Dr. Vora’s almost magical and healing empathy which blends so wonderfully with his skill as an incredible surgeon, all contributed towards my mother’s successful surgery and the remarkable progress that followed.
The physiotherapist suggested by him, Ms. Avanika Shah, who shares similar traits as him in terms of competence and compassion has been an excellent guide and support in her recovery period now. We couldn’t be more thankful to Dr. Niraj Vora and his entire team in helping my mother become painfree and mobile once again!
Best Regards,
Vidya
Mrs. Shammi Balse
On the 3rd of May 2016 Dr Niraj Vora replaced both my knees at the Bellevue Hospital.
When I went to meet him for the 1st time on 22nd April he put me in a comfort zone. My precondition was that he puts me under general anaesthesia and he agreed. I knew that I was in very safe hands.
I found him to be an excellent human being with a great sense of humour. Later the x ray showed what a neat job he had done.
On the 26th day after my op I started riding my scooter and went swimming and for a walk in Aarey Milk Colony.
I can safely recommend Dr Niraj Vora to anyone. He is a healer and his positive approach to life amazes me. What is more he could get in tune with my thoughts...of course being in complete surrender and let go helped me tremendously...
God bless this very loveable soul who lives his life by the right principles..may he rise to higher levels of success.
PS My husband and my friends are very impressed with him too and are strongly recommending him to all and sundry.

Mrs. Geeta Raj
I’m Geeta Raj, and I am a resident of Canada. around 4 years back I developed a pain in my knees. I was particularly awful while I was sitting, climbing stairs or standing. Soon it got so bad that I started limping even while walking.
We then started visiting doctors and big hospitals like Breach Candy and Kokilaben hospital but were still not satisfied.
In Canada the waiting period for thus surgery was 18 to 24 months, and so I decided to come to India. It was at that time, one of our close friend recommended Dr Niraj Vora, and after meeting so many doctors we were already quite disappointed, but still went out and met him. After meeting Dr Vora, we were so pleasantly surprised. I felt very positive and gave me a feeling that this is an issue we can easily deal with as a team. He took the pains to explain the minutest details to me. After that I was ready to go ahead with the surgery immediately.
I got operated at Sunridges, where I found the entire staff to be very supportive and helpful.
I started walking with a stick in 24 hours, after my surgery, and was discharged in 3 days from the hospital. Now its 4 weeks and I am walking and climbing stairs without any support.
Dr Niraj Vora , is one of the only doctor who I have seen always answers his patients calls, and if he is too busy makes it a point to return the call.
A BIG THANKS TO DR NIRAJ....God Bless him so he can help many other people improve their lives. :-)
Many Thanks and Regards,
Geeta Raj
Mr. Michael Peter Colaco
I am Ms. Brinal Colaco and i am writing this testimonial on behalf of my Father Mr. Michael Peter Colaco. We are residents of Vasai, Maharashtra.
Around 7 years back, my dad started complaining about pain in his left knee. Anything in the range of standing up after sitting down for a long time to standing for a long time would cause him pain.
Initially when my dad visited local doctors, they advised physiotherapy and painkillers which temporarily relieved him from his pain. But we were looking for permanent relief from the pain and limping.
A relative suggested Dr. Niraj Vora. Dad consulted Dr. Vora, and he suggested Knee Replacement Surgery. He said that the surgery was inevitable and that the knee would slowly get worse and the limp would increase.
We were a little nervous when we first heard about the surgery. For us, it sounded like a very complicated and risky procedure which should be avoided unless absolutely necessay. I casually checked Dr. Vora's website and read through the "All You Wanted to Know about Knee Replacement" section that gave us a detail insight on knee replacement. We went through the testimonials of various patients who have also undergone this surgery and who are now relieved of the pain and suffering caused due to their knees.
When the pain got worse, we finally decided to go for the surgery. Dr. Vora was extremely supportive. He explained the entire procedure very patiently to my dad, who was very nervous. He also promptly replied to all our emails regarding queries on requirements of surgery related reports, etc. We are very grateful for that.
We were at the Sunridges Hospital. The hospital staff was very co- operative and helpful. After the surgery, we were surprised by dad's speedy recovery. He started walking from the very next day with the help of a walker and it got better with daily physiotherapy sessions.
My dad suggests knee replacement to our friends and relatives who have been suffering from Severe Knee Pain and are scared to go for the surgery, and he suggests Dr. Vora for the same.
Our most sincere thanks to Sunridges Hospital for the cooperation offered by the staff and the entire team of Dr. Vora. Keep up the good work.
Special thanks Dr. Niraj Vora for being an angel in my dad's life and taking away the prolonged pain permanently. My dad is no longer compromising with his quality of life.

Mrs. Purnima Dixit (Age: 56 years)
Before I start my story I want to share a line that I read somewhere –
"For an ill person there is no religion, whoever gives him/her new life becomes their GOD”
I never understood pure meaning of the line until I met Dr. Niraj Vora and he operated my mother for arthritis.
Well to start my story we have to go back to two years from now when my mother started complaining about her knee pain. That time we thought it might be a normal Knee Pain and we started some pain killer for her relief. But sadly the pain kept increasing and it moved from one leg to both.
As we are based in small city in Madhya Pradesh we do not have too many good medical options there. And I was doing my job in Mumbai so we got an opportunity to get my mother checked with some good doctors here around a year back. However, we were not convinced fully to go with the Knee Surgery and it got dragged for one more year.
As the time passed-by the condition got worse and one of family doctor suggested that there is no cure for the problem other than the surgery. So, once again I had to call my mother to Mumbai for consultation.
Let me tell you it was so difficult to shortlist a good doctor with every one giving their own opinion in your family and friends circle. I got so confused with too many doctors name and finally decided to do my own research with the help of internet.
I shortlisted few names and called my mother to Mumbai. I took appointments for the same day for all the doctors. Dr Niraj Vora was the second doctor we visited that day and as we spent few minutes there I was convinced that we should go for surgery with him only.
He is one of the few doctors in India now a day’s who actually wants to understand the patient’s problem and will go deep into the root cause of it. He will suggest you what treatment is actually required for the patient out of his interest. I am sure if my mother had even one percent chance of recovery without surgery he would have denied for the surgery. So, finally after consultation we made our mind that we will go for the surgery with him only.
Initially, we were scared to go for both knees together as we thought it would be difficult for the patient to recover. However, Dr. Niraj made it simple for us by explaining that there is no much difference to go for both knees only difference is the cost and time you need to pay extra if you go for separate surgery.
As we took the appointment in Raheja Hospital I thought that we have to do the surgery there. However, Dr. Niraj gave us one more option of Sunridges Hospital in Juhu, which turned out to be much more economical for us. As usual I started my research about the hospital after that and found it really good, so we made our decision to go for both knees in Suridges Hospital in Juhu.
I was totally amazed with the service provided by the staff members and the assistant doctors in the hospital, my mother felt that she is just in her second home. Surgery went perfectly well and post-surgery the quality of service was as good as it was before surgery.
Dr. Niraj is one of the doctors who will not forget you once the surgery is done. He visited daily to keep a close eye on my mother’s recovery. He is totally a tech-savvy person and you can always expect reply of your e-mail within few minutes.
Most of the people must know that he is an amazing doctor, but let me admit that is one of the fittest doctors I have ever seen. Full of energy, extremely active, down to earth personality sets a perfect example for youngsters like us.
I am glad that we have such doctors in India though they have completed their studies abroad but believe to make medical industry much stronger in our country. A salute to you Dr. Niraj, you will always remain my role model in life from now onwards.
Its more than two months now after the surgery and my mother is totally fine walking without the help of stick, climbing stairs and doing exercise perfectly. And yes doctor you have given a new life to my mother, so now her only GOD is you.
Thanks a lot for your support and care. I guess this is the least I can do for you.
With warm regards
Somya Dixit
Mrs. Nirmala Kanwarjani (Age: 57 years)
Hello , I'm Dr Geeta , a general practitioner daughter of Mrs Nirmala staying in Vadodara, Gujarat. I'm writing this on behalf of my mom.
My mom was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis both knees about 10 yrs back & was advised operation TKR Total Knee Replacement both knees. My mom was afraid of operation so she was going on with the pain.
Day by day her pain was increasing & her difficulty to walk & sit was also increasing. Her daily activities were getting restricted. Everyone in our big joint family started thinking that it was time that she gets operated. I started searching for good doctors for her, and she consulted them but was not satisfied with them.
I found Dr Niraj Vora on his website & very casually sent a mail to him regarding my mom.
To my surprise there was a very quick response from his side .He explained me everything. I started sending him so many mails with so many questions about TKR & he use to answer very fast. I was really impressed with this fixed an appointment on phone as I was in Baroda & my mom in Bombay.
My mom consulted him & immediately called me that Dr Vora has explained her so nicely about the operation that she was ready for that .This was something very great. She was ready for both knee operation in the same sitting. Thanks to Dr Vora he had convinced her for both Knee Replacement & she was also very confident.
The operation was done & everyone in my family was really shocked with such great results. Operation was successful & my mom had very fast recovery she started walking the very next day with walker which was like a miracle for us. Even I being a doctor did not expect such speedy recovery.
We were at Sunridges Hospital. The hospital staff there, the physiotherapists and everyone were so very co-operative & caring. They really were very helpful.
5 months after the operation no one can just guess that my mom has undergone a operation she can walk alone very comfortably with no pain at all.
Today she is blessing Dr Vora for such great gift he has given her she is back with the same routine of hers as before she is really very happy today.
I would really suggest everyone who is suffering with the same problem to consult Dr Vora. He is gem of a person. He explains & boosts the patient so nicely that I think half of his problem is sorted by just talking to him, so joyful.
A sincere thanks to Sunridges Hospital, the staff, the physiotherapist & the full team of Dr Vora from me & my family
A very very special thanks to Dr Niraj Vora from me, my mom & whole family for just changing my mom 's life & making her independent again.

Mrs. Shilpa Shirsekar (Age: 58 years)
For eight long years I suffered acute pain in my knees. It went on to become chronic, severely impeding my routine activities. I met a string of Orthopedic surgeons and ran through a course starting from pain-killer pills to injections interspersed with alternate therapies.
My condition went on deteriorating progressively. Advice about surgical intervention was as varied as a rainbow.
At this stage, a well-wisher recommended the name of Dr Niraj Vora. It was the beginning of the end of my miseries.
A pedigreed (he is a second generation orthopedic), surgeon and owner of pleasant personality, he put me to ease in very first meeting. A detailed examination followed by only essential investigations was enough for him to convince me and my family that I was overdue for the Knee Replacement.
We accepted his advice at face value and on 2nd April 2015 he performed the surgery on both my legs at one of the newest nursing home. His deft hands ensured complication free procedure.
Very same evening I was made to walk a few steps. In less than a week, I was home going through physio-therapy to complete my recovery and rehabilitation process. As a matter of abundant precaution, I used to walk with a stick.
Next check up and I declared fully fit and ordered to shun the stick. And here I am, feeling fit and raring to go.
I have regained pleasures of life, thanks to Dr Niraj Vora.

Mrs. Celina Pereira (Age: 59 years)
I am Mrs. Celina Pereira aged 59 years, a resident of Vasai Maharashtra. I am a retired teacher. Being a teacher by profession, standing and teaching was a part of my work. To stand in school and travelling by trains from school to home was very hectic. In recent past my knees ached very badly.
I consulted many doctors for knee pain and they had asked me to undergo Knee Replacement but I was not confident and convinced for the surgery. One of our family friends referred Dr. Niraj Vora and asked me to consult him. We consulted Dr. Vora and on the day of appointment itself I was convinced and confident that I can undergo surgery. I was never hospitalised in my lifetime and always avoided to take shots when unwell. This was a really major decision for me to undergo surgery but Dr. Vora made it all easy and smooth for me clearing all doubts that I had in my mind.
I was ready for Bilateral Knee Replacement and was operated on 28th March 2015.I was operated in morning and evening I was asked to stand for a while by the physiotherapist, this boosted my confidence level and made me feel that I can do even better than this. On the second day I was made to walk through the corridor in the hospital and third day I climbed up and down the hospital staircase.Fourth day I started walking in the hospital without anybody’s support. Eight day I was discharged from hospital.
I give all credit to Dr. Vora for his skills of handling the patient and giving the patient confidence enough during pre and post-surgery. He visits his patients daily and boosts their confidence level. I thank entire staff of hospital, doctors and nurses for their support and help. Now I am leading a normal life.
Thank You Dr. Niraj Vora.
Mr. Suresh Maheshwari (Age: 72 years)
I was about 72 years old and had come to a point in my life where arthritic knee pain in one of my leg was very bad and the Arthritic Pain in other leg had slowly started to become unbearable as well. I reached out to our long term trusted family doctor and he advised me to reach out to Dr. Niraj Vora for advice and candid feedback. In November, 2014 timeframe met Dr.Niraj Vora for complete checkup and advice. It was a great experience in interacting with him. He was very sincere and took all the pre-arranged time to review my medical case. He was frank and very articulate in his advice to me. He is highly accessible and very tech savvy (SMS, email). So if you respect his time by being prudent in your reach out, he is the best to work with as a doctor. Based on my overall medical condition, it was decided to do Bilateral Total Knee Replacement --- A Simultaneous staged procedure means to replace both knees on the same day, under one anesthesia.
The surgery was planned in Middle of December, 2014 and has been 100% success till date (May, 2015). The attention to minute detail, focus and commitment by Dr. Niraj Vora and his team is commendable. With candor, I did have a small complication post operative for only two days in terms of significant drop of hemoglobin during my hospital recovery, please note: Simultaneous procedure implies a high stress, but Dr.Niraj Vora's deep insight, commitment & experience pulled me out to complete recovery.
I recommend him hands down and feel free to reach out to me for any input or feedback. It has been about 6+ months and I am walking independent with no discomfort. He is thorough and you need to support him by following all his instructions. Also post operative physiotherapy for 2 to 3 months is extremely important for complete recovery. Please note: Complete recovery !!!
Dr.Niraj Vora is a complete package and the best you can get.
Amy Sequeira (Age: 82 years)
Before I return to the U.S. this week, I would like to thank you once again for your kindness and generosity in helping my sister Amy Sequiera.
Your high level of professionalism, your promptness in reaching out to a patient, your sense of caring and concern, is rare in the medical profession today. I have never come across your kind of dedication anywhere - not even in the U.S. It was a privilege interacting with you. God bless you and your family always.
With every kind wish and thought,
Dorothy Rodriguez.
Sudha Malhotra (Age: 65 years)
I am Sudha Malhotra aged 65. I had been suffering from severe joint pain for last many years. This pain had become unbearable in the past 6 months or so. I still decided to carry this on as I was always scared the thought of going into the operation theatre. I live in Delhi NCR and had consulted many orthopaedic docs there who continued to subscribe pain killers as a solution for my Knee Pain.
I stopped going out and my movement confined to my room. At times, I went out to shopping malls with family but restricted to a place or had to use wheelchair which was a bit embarrassing. In order to avoid operation, I even went for magnetotherapy, various kind of physiotherapies sessions and ayurvedic medicines but all in vain.
Due to the restricted movement and pain, I finally decided to go for TKR In Mumbai. We consulted many doctors but were not able to finalise a hospital for the treatment. Many of my friends talked about the severe pain one has to undergo even after few weeks of Operations. Fortunately, we were recommended by one of our friends to see Dr Niraj Vora. In our first meeting, I found him very friendly and professional and we decided to get the treatment from him. His personal care and attention helped me to overcome my fear of surgery.
I got the operations done in mid January which was successful. Unexpectedly, I did not have much pain after the operation. I was able to walk without support and climb stairs with 4 days after the operation and was not dependent on anyone in my daily routine.
My heartfelt thanks for the treatment and care we received under Dr Neeraj's careful supervision. My family members were amazed at my speedy recovery, the credit for which goes to Dr Niraj and the hospital staff. We liked almost everything about the Sunridges hospital right from facilities, support of staff, care of the patient. Not to mention that the food was superb. It was a right decision to choose Sunridges.
It's been couple of month since I have got the surgery done. I have moved back to Delhi. My daily routine has become normal. My joy knew no bounds when I travelled in Metro after a long time.
I would like to recommend Dr Niraj Vora and Sunridges Speciality Hospital to several of my friends and relatives who are undergoing the same problem.
Ms. Lynne McGready (Age: 64 years)
I am an Australian citizen of Indian origin, living and working in Malaysia.
History:I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis a few years ago and was advised then to have BOTH my knees replaced immediately. I felt that the recommendation to operate was premature as I was able to walk quite comfortably despite experiencing some pain while descending stairs and after long periods of standing.
However, last year my condition worsened and after a fall, my right knee was bent, painful and 'frozen'. I found that I was unable to fulfill my responsibilities as a trainer in an energetic manner, looking constantly for a place to sit. The day I had to purchase a walking stick confirmed that I had to seek immediate help.
A friend recommended Dr. Niraj Vora in Mumbai, India. My immediate reaction was to research his credentials and also the testimonials, which after reading, knew I had to make contact with him immediately.
I scheduled travel to Mumbai and I met him the day after I arrived. He suggested that I ONLY replace the right knee. I was very pleased to hear this.
My family, out of concern, suggested I meet other surgeons. I met one other, to satisfy their concerns and to confirm my decision to travel to India once again, to have the operation. No comparison and such arrogance!
After several emails to and from Dr. Vora [sorry for being a pest, Doctor!] tests etc I had my knee replaced on the 13th March 2015.
I am very satisfied with the results despite it being only 7 weeks since the surgery took place. I follow the exercises set by the physiotherapists, I think positively about my progress and even when I have moments of despair because of my impatience, I know that I will be more mobile in a few months. Most importantly, I have a walking stick in my home that is gathering dust!
Dr. Niraj Vora:
I first made contact with Dr. Vora via email. Lo and behold, an almost immediate reply. This blew me away completely. A renowned surgeon responding to his own emails and in a friendly manner! I knew then that this person was 'special/unique' as none of the other surgeons I had approached nor their administrators, had responded to my enquiries.
The ongoing communication with him when I was overseas strengthened my belief that this was the surgeon whom I could rely on. If he could take the trouble to respond to, what seem to be inane questions now, then he was the person I wanted to rely on to replace my knee. But the most important issue was my immediate reaction after meeting him, which was, "Yes, I want this gentleman to operate on my knee. I feel comfortable with him."
While he is humble, funny and attentive something tells me that he sets very high standards for himself and his team! In my view, a true professional.
Thank you Dr. Vora and rest assured [for me!] if and when I need my left knee replaced, you will be the person I will approach...again!
Yours sincerely,
Lynne McGready

Arnavaz P Bharucha (Age: 70 years)
I, Arnavaz P Bharucha, aged 70 years love to walk. I have never owned a car. Walking has a very strong emotional and social significance for me rather than just a physical activity. My walking slowed down since the last two years. But, this did not restrict my spirit from travelling to Australia, Singapore, US & Canada. However, my Knee Pain was gradually increasing. I kept using a knee support elastic crepe from the time I would wake up in the morning until I hit the bed at night.
Being naïve in the field of medicine we were recommended by a family friend to consult Dr. Vora. I was initially very skeptical as my house is at Andheri (E) and the hospital of Dr. Vora is at Juhu. I remember my first appointment on 14-Nov-14 with Dr. Niraj Vora. What impressed me most is that, on examining the x-rays, he suggested multiple options. Pain killers, injections to boost cartilage or knee replacement. He explained pros and cons of all options and suggested Knee Replacement, based on my requirements as a long term, problem free solution. By the end of the first meeting, we agreed on the date of the operation, charges, hospital. The interaction was enough for me to drop my guard and hand over complete charge of my leg in his able hands. His attitude towards me as a patient was fantastic. He made me feel comfortable like a family member. The patience with which he explained displayed his expertise giving me full confidence in his knowledge and ability. We sent all the test reports by email and met directly at the hospital on 24-Nov-14, i.e. one day before the operation.
Every interaction thereafter had a standard pattern. I would raise concerns and worries and his replies would calm me down completely. The best part was that, his words instilled encouragement and confidence in me and I started taking my first steps on day one itself. Walked the corridor on day two and climbed stars on day three. At my age, it certainly seemed an impossible feat. It would be unfair if I did not mention the excellent team of physiotherapists who were as capable and encouraging.
I had resolved to take my daily exercises very seriously and I must confess, a month after the operation, my physio therapist has stopped his daily visit. Two months down the line, now I have resumed my daily walks and can even travel alone by bus without the stick.
I sincerely request any person with a knee ailment to check-out Dr. Niraj Vora once before taking any decision.
Mrs. Malti Kodwaney (Age: 62 years)
Having heard about experiences from my colleagues at work about Dr Vora, I had made up my mind to get my Total Knee Replacement done from Dr Niraj Vora. Needless to say, it was a wise choice - first to make the hard decision that I was going to get the surgery done, and second to get the surgery done by Dr Vora. Being a 62 year old widow, living by myself, arthritis was taking a toll on my lifestyle, hindering me from day to day basic activities like driving and doing groceries. It was important for me to get back to normal routine and Dr Vora assured me that I would be able to do so after about a month post-surgery and even drive in about 2-3 months.
Dr Niraj Vora Malti Kodwaney Patient Testimonial
Dr Vora’s visits set the right expectations throughout the process. He gave an extremely accurate estimate for the surgery. He had prepared me on the level of pain, the pain-management medications and post-operative physical therapy requirements. He understands and has a unique personal technique to ease the anxiety of his patients. After the surgery, his team kept him well informed of every detail about my health and recovery. The most important aspect was that Dr Niraj Vora had an extremely conservative approach for prescribing medications and he had very strict, gradual guideline on weaning off the pain medication post surgery. Not only that, he guided me to keep away from a series of investigations initiated in the hospital. This holiday season, about six months post surgery; my daughter and I convey our gratitude, blessings and good wishes to Dr Vora.
Priyanka Vazirani(Daughter of Mrs Malti Kodwaney): Being in the US, it was a leap of faith when my mother told me that she had decided to get a TKR done by Dr Niraj Vora over getting the procedure done in the US. She was very confident of her decision and passed me Dr Vora’s details. I emailed Dr Vora several questions about the procedure, pre & post-operative care, comparing them all the while with the research I had done on medical websites and my friend’s experience who had the procedure done here in California. There seemed to be almost no difference in the technique, the pre-op routine checks and the post-operative care. In addition to that, Dr Niraj Vora promptly acknowledged all my queries and concerns with every detail possible and each email exchange built the trust to make me believe that my mom was in safe hands.
Thank you Dr Vora!!
Adv. V.P. Tripathi (Age: 62 years)
I was experiencing slight twitching pain in my right knee from the beginning of year 2011. I had shown the same to my family doctor. He gave certain medicines and post that suggested certain exercise for stretching to relax the muscles in the knee.
However, it did not help much.
As a next resort & in order to avoid possible surgery (since for knee joints, that’s the recommended procedure) I consulted an ayurvedic doctor who assured me that the joint pain would positively go but the process would be slow. It went on for almost a year and a half. But it didn’t bring any significant improvement OR gave any relief in the pain.
Then based on family's advice, I went to Kokilaben Hospital for consultation and was advised for a surgery post x-rays and physical examination. In the time, I and my son had a meeting with the concerned doctor in the hospital and somehow, my son was not comfortable in going ahead with my surgery with this surgeon. He started looking out for a better doctor in his network & colleagues and someone from his office happen to suggest name of Dr. Niraj Vora. My son got in touch with his colleague immediately. He informed him that even his father was operated for both the knees by Dr. Vora & now his own father is absolutely fine. He also told one striking thing about Dr. Vora to my son that when you would meet him, you would definitely get those vibes of assurance that everything would go perfectly fine.
Post his meeting with office colleague, my son immediately contacted Dr. Vora on his co-ordinates and fixed my meeting with him in May’2012. As soon as we entered in his room, my son realized that his colleague’s words were right. Dr. Vora’s presence made us completely comfortable & after thorough examination & various tests, the operation was performed at 7-hills hospital in Andheri(E).
During the entire procedure & hospital stay, Dr. Vora was very polite and co-operative and made sure that no discomfort was experienced. He always used to personally visit in morning to check my recovery in hospital. After discharge also, I was advised to meet him twice for examination. And, after 2 months I was back to normal work life and doing routine activity.
His technical skills are par excellence & his mannerism as well as demeanor is of a perfect gentleman and a true professional doctor.
Today, I am leading a normal life and able to walk comfortably without any worry.
Thanks to Dr. Vora and his team for making me walk comfortably and lead a normal life.
GOD BLESS !!!
Mrs. Indu Singh (Age: 65 years)
I, Indu Singh presently 65 years of age was suffering from Osteoporosis of Bones from last 6 years. A continuous pain and discomfort was experienced in my right knee. We consulted doctors in Chennai and later moved to Mumbai in Feb 2008. I consulted Orthopaedic Surgeons in Mumbai but everyone suggested to go through knee replacement. Frankly I was very scared of surgery as such preferred medication, pain killers and serum injections to avoid knee surgery. These all worked as temporary relief but severe pain and discomfort appeared in no time. The life style took a serious turn and I could not walk a decent distance or climb stairs. I nearly went into a partial depression but no orthopaedic surgeons gave a confidence and convince me to go through knee replacement. I kept postponing the surgery till one day one of our friend suggested to meet Dr.Niraj Vora.
To my bad luck the Dr.Vora had left Kokilaben Ambani Hospital and we had no idea about his whereabouts. Our daughter was aware of my feelings and she knew that "mother will not be convinced till she has met doctor Niraj Vora". One day my daughter called and informed that Dr Niraj is available at Bellevue Hospital and appointment was fixed.
The moment I knocked at his cabin door, a pleasant voice called "Induji...please come in". The moment I entered his cabin, he came up to me and made me sit comfortably. Vora sir explained me the whole procedure in such a manner that I immediately agreed to go through the knee replacement. In the mean time my daughter had seen the web site which indicated over 1000 knee replacements carried out by Dr.Vora before March 2012. Now 11 months have passed...... i do household work, go for shopping, go for movies, walk around in the malls and visit friends. Now I am trying to convince my husband for a trip abroad.
I owe all this to Dr.Vora.

Mrs. Kanchan Nayak (Age: 68 years)
I have been suffering from Arthritis with increasing pain in both Knee-Joints since 1996. Though I was a very active working woman, I used to get severe cramps and pain in my calf-muscles below knees, which was made worse by hectic train-traveling and work on both the fronts. Degeneration of my knee-joints was slowly progressing despite proper diet and physiotherapy, and aggravated fast since 2009, getting to the point where I started using a walking stick for support for all my outings. One fine morning in the chilly winter of 2011, my knees were almost locked up and I was completely unable to get up from bed and had to take help from my husband to do so. I needed help even to go to the bathroom, stand and brush my teeth, make coffee in the kitchen. In short, I was unable to do anything on my own, as I could not walk or stand without support. This continued till noon when the day became warmer and my knees slowly felt better. I was then okay for the rest of the day, but the night was again bad with shooting pain in my knees through the night. This pattern of bad nights and mornings continued for a few days, and then my wrists started hurting because of the extra weight I put on my hands for support. I consulted 2 orthopaedic-surgeons, had X-Rays taken [my knee-cavities looked like Crocodiles with fully open mouths laughing at me] and I was informed that TKR for each knee was the only solution, but they would do it one by one as per their comfort level. I was scared but I stopped painkillers within a week and tried to be on my own with the support of stick and wall and furniture.
Meanwhile, we got in touch with Dr. Niraj Vora, who was doing Replacements of both the Knee-Joints simultaneously, thus avoiding repeat of Entire Pre-and-Post TKR-Surgery preparation and rehabilation. Knowing that I could barely walk, he took the effort to come and meet me at home around the 2nd week of Feb,2012. He saw all my reports and X-Rays, and advised me to go for bilateral TKR, the best solution for a quick path to a normal-life. He was completely professional, and at the same time, very compassionate. His humility shone through in asking me whether I was prepared to get operated by him in a new hospital in Andheri; or if I was not comfortable, he would arrange for another Surgeon. He literally won my heart, and I was ready for operation only by Dr. Niraj Vora with full faith in him.
On 1st March 2012, I had Bilateral TKR (Total Knee Replacement) Surgery successfully done by Dr. Niraj and his Expert Team. The unexpected surprise was listening to old Hindi songs during the operation: Dr. Niraj had cleverly asked me about my taste in music during the pre-op visit, and played my choices during the operation to help me relax. The operation was conducted in Medi Heights-Hospital in Andheri, a relatively new Hospital but spacious, clean, full-fledged with expert and competitive Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists and helpful Administration-staff including ayaas and wardboys. I was lucky to have my son by my side throughout the day, with friends and loved ones visiting all the time. The best part was the daily visit by Doctor Niraj with his radiant smile and concern for his patient who was going through a very painful post-operation phase. I was on Physiotherapy from the very first day of operation and walking (using a walker) twice a day. Dr. Imran, the (terrific) physiotherapist at Medi Heights, was kind but firm; he was keen on bending my knees and making me walk straight in corridor, ignoring my tears and screams with a smile and with patience. I too learnt very well that the success of the operation depended on whether I focus on my Physio-Exercises and walk at home. And on my discharge from Hospital on 10th day, Dr. Niraj gave me a wonderful gift; Physiotherapist Dr. Aadila, a young, pretty and bubbly girl, but strong enough to bend my rigid knees and encourage me to walk without stick or walker. She was an expert; brilliant with full knowledge of physiotherapy and motivational skills. With rigorous Physios thrice a day and regular walks inside house, I was able to walk straight at home, then I started with stairs and on our compound and finally out of the colony 2 months after the operation, I could not imagine what I had achieved! I was walking straight, without support and enjoying it, almost after 3 years; even my neighbours and my friends are surprised to see me walking down without bending on my hubby's arm.
Today, just few days before the 1st Birthday of my New Knees, I feel 68 yrs YOUNG, full of Confidence and Action, and back to my normal life; enjoying cooking in kitchen, outings to visit family, friends, cinema halls and other programs and I no longer panic when my maid does not show up! Thank you, Dr. Niraj for gifting me a 2nd Life and my happiest moments are when I walk straight without any support. I enjoy especially when somebody who has seen me prior to my operation, stops to admire the transformation and then asks me about the surgeon who performed the magic.
Suresh Viswanathan (Age: 53 years)
I was suffering from severe knee degeneration for the last few years and have been consulting various orthopaedic specialists. Even my movements inside the office, leave alone, going out for official meetings, had become extremely difficult and excruciatingly painful. I was counselled that Total Knee Replacement (TKR) was the only solution to better the quality of my life. However, I was advised to get the surgery on one knee first and then, after a few months, on the other. This required hospitalization and rehabilitation twice. Further, I was also advised to go for the traditional chrome cobalt prosthesis which has a reported life span of say 15 -20 years. I was 51 years old when I met Dr. Niraj Vora in May 2011.
The first consultation with Dr. Vora completely brought in a great amount of confidence in me, as he advised Bilateral TKR (simultaneous TKR for both the knees) as most suited for me. I requested him to consider if I could go for ‘Oxinium’ prosthesis, as these were expected to last much longer than the chrome cobalt ones. Without any hesitation, he advised me that Oxinium joints are relatively new, and that clinical tests have proved them to be several times stronger than traditional material. The hospital did not have stock of these new joints at that time and Dr. Vora took special efforts to procure ‘Oxinium’ prosthesis for me.
My Bilateral TKR was performed on September 23, 2011. The surgery took about just over 2 hours and I was discharged on the 9th day of the surgery. Dr. Vora and his team comprising Dr. Kunal Patel, Dr. Pooja Warty and Dr. Chirag Patel used to review my progress on a daily basis. The comforting words of Dr. Vora during that period still linger in my ears. The confidence that he gave me was enormous and highly inspiring. Dr. Vora suggested a physiotherapist, Dr. Yogita from Chembur, to facilitate speedy rehabilitation. There was no looking back, I underwent rigorous rehabilitation therapy and was able to walk near normal, without any help during the 3rd week of discharge from the hospital. I could bend my knees with ease and without pain gradually thereafter. I started driving my car from the 3rd month of my surgery. Now I am perfectly normal and am able to carry out my daily routine without any knee pain, and with great comfort. One may be surprised to know I drive nearly 3 hours in Mumbai traffic almost every day!
I thank Dr. Vora from the bottom of my heart, and my family and I are indebted to him for his professional skill, quality of treatment, self confidence and above all, his kindness.
Mrs. Aleyamma Rajan (Age: 63 years)
Hi I'm Rincy Rajesh Bangera. My mum Mrs Aleyamma Rajan aged 63yrs was been suffering from arthritis from long time. Due to dad's illness she gave her problems the least priority because of which her arthritis got worse in such an extend that her one knee was fully stiff and she couldn't bend at all. Travelling in local public transport was impossible. She has to depend on others to travel and can only travel in autorickshaw( that too with lots of pain each time while moving). We thought she would not be able to walk in the future.
That's the time when my sister Reena who used to work as a nurse in Kokilaben Hospital told me about Dr Niraj Vora. She booked appt and we showed mum to Dr Vora. We were very pleased when he told that our mum can walk again. After so many appt and referral (she had rheumatoid arthritis as well) she was all fit for surgery. Dr Vora and myself used to email each other and update each other about mum's health as I am settled in UK. She was operated on 6th April 2010 in Kokilaben. She underwent Both Knee Replacement on the same day. Because my mum one knee was very bad Dr Vora has informed us about some additional surgery needed with it. On that day she was stood up by the physio and next day she took 1-2 steps. The moment we saw her taking that first step our eyes was full of tears. My mum was very strong and eager to walk. Very determined to be independent again after 9-10 yrs.
Her surgery was successful and she recovered post operative very good. She has physio at home for 3 months. Now she travel by self in all public transport. She does all her household things. She has got back her independence all because of Our trust and Dr Niraj Vora's surgical skills. We till date and in future will always be thankful to him and his staffs for helping us and most importantly my mum. God bless him and may he bring true colours in everyone's life who comes to him.
Suresh Shirali (Age: 79 years)
Major part of my life was spent on outdoor sports activities. It had its effect on my knees in due course. My wife was being treated in Ambani Hospital. As I had lot of time in the hospital I decided to meet Dr Niraj Vora for consultation as he was knee specialist.
When I entered the room, he rushed to the door to greet me and I was pleasantly surprised by this gesture which is unusual in Indian context. I had a long chat with him and asked him several personal questions regarding his experience etc. He was brutally honest with himself and answered all my queries without any hesitation and without getting annoyed. Again unusual in Indian context. It was always a great pleasure to meet him for consultation. He never pushed you for time always jovial, smiling and made you very comfortable in his room.
I was operated on 16th Aug 2011 Age 79. I dont know what he did to my knees (Bilateral TKR), I started driving my car and started swimming within one month of my operation. Dr Vora recommended Dr Jeegan Pandya, a young dynamic and wonderful physio who also did wonders and gave me confidence to do what I wanted to do.
My recovery was surprisingly very fast considering my age. Thanks to Dr Niraj Vora for his skills. In my ten days stay in the hospital he used to visit every day and sometimes twice in a day. His visit always ended in a big laughter to the surprise of his assistants. I heard lot of horror stories about knee operation, but by my experience was different.
What I learned was 1) Have a good Dr like Dr Vora 2) Have full faith in the DR. 3) Have faith in yourself. 4) Follow the recovery regime faithfully even it pains initially for few months after exercises. NO PAIN NO GAIN.
I was cleared to play tennis after six monthly follow up check. Dr Niraj Vora is a great soul friendly jovial, gives you lot of time and does not push you for anything. I wish him BLISSFUL long life.
Yasmin Kotadia (Age: 60 years)
My wife Yasmin age 60 was suffering from Knee Joint Pain for more than 10 years, she tried all types of medicines available for the treatment, the pain would subside for a short while only to return back more severely, she had lost all hopes of recovery and felt discomfort in her routine life which made her depressed, then we decided to go for Knee Transplant Surgery but we were not sure whether it would be successful or not?, after consulting more than 3 doctors we placed our trust in Dr. Niraj Vora because of his true response to all our queries, she was operated for one knee in December 2009 & for the second one in December 2010, the use of walker was limited to the hospital as at home she did not require them. In fact she came walking on her own during the stitches removal on both the occasions, she owes her renewed passion for life to dr. nirajvora, may God bless him & give him success to treat many more patients.
Asha Wadia
I suffered from Knee Pain for almost two years. Pain killers & oil/ ointment massages gave relief temporarily. I consulted three to four well known orthopaedic surgeons of Mumbai, but none of them could give me the confidence for the surgery.
Finally, I consulted Dr. Niraj L. Vora at Kokilaben Ambani hospital, Andheri. He was sincere, dedicated, & explained the need for the surgery so well to me, that I immediately felt confident and at ease.
I opted for surgery of one knee at a time, which proved excellent for me. My recovery was fast. I looked forward to have the surgery done for the second knee, which was done within a year.
I am feeling well & carrying on my household duties smoothly.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Niraj L. Vora as he is a Great Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Mr. Ramesh Dalal (Age: 78 years)
My father was not able to walk properly for the past year. We consulted Dr. Niraj Vora. He examined him and told us he has severe Arthritis. His knees have developed spikes and are rubbing against each other. After X Rays, he told us he needed to be operated. He suggested having both knees to be operated together.
We were skeptical but our confidence in him made us take the decision to go ahead with it. Finally he was operated upon both the knees on 3rd January 2012 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. For us Dr. Niraj Vora is God send. Today after 9 months, my father is able to walk properly, can climb stairs and travel in train too. I am truly thankful to Dr. Niraj Vora for giving new legs to my father. Thank you Nirajbhai.
Ms. Nadira Tambawala
I got both my knees replaced simultaneously on the 16th September, 2011. Pre surgery, I had a lot of fear and after consulting three doctors in Mumbai, my husband and I finally rested with Dr Vora. We needed to visit the doctor about more than a couple of times and with each visit we felt strong and confident to go ahead with the surgery of both my knees.
During the stay in the hospital, the doctor visited me twice a day and followed up with my physiotherapy all the ten days in the hospital. The Post Surgery Care and concern have also been very regular. Since then, I have been walking about 2 kms and then increased it to 3 kms. I have also begun swimming and now walking and climbing have become very easy and normal. All this has been possible with my renewed knees and this has made it possible to enjoy many other things, I have now forgotten the pain and trouble and now I feel much younger and rejuvenated. We can now enjoy and travel all over with our children and friends.
Mr. Bipin Gandhi (Age: 65 years)
On 19/9/2012, my family & self will be celebrating 1st Anniversary of my TKR & would like to place on record my heartfelt thanks & gratitude to you & your team of Surgeons Dr Chirag, Dr Kunal, Dr Sujit, Anesthetist Dr Pooja & other colleagues at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. That 9 days of stay last year at KDAH under your care & love is most memorable period of my life, my first-ever & hopefully last stay in Hospital.
I was referred to you by our close family friend Dr NP Mehta. This + your profile on your website revealing your meritorious academics & long experience as Trauma & Knee & Hip replacement Surgeon in UK imbibed lot of trust & confidence which prompted me to take quick decision to get operated by you. Prior to this, I suffered from Osteo Arthritis for 14 long years. I had tried various optional/alternative therapies including RFQMR-rotational field quantum magnetic radiation -therapy (which claims recreation/re-synthesis of worn-torn cartilages) which in my opinion was waste of precious time, efforts & money. They could be bringing some relief to few with Primary Stage of OA.
After almost a year of surgery, I am enjoying my new life albeit with little residual pain around both knees (say 5-10% of original pre TKR pain) which hopefully will subside & go away before this Diwali. I am sure, you will be glad to know that I blissfully & successfully concluded my long cherished dream of Kailas-Mansarovar Yatra / Parikrama during mid July, 2012 (after about 10 months of surgery). Needless to mention, it was very tough, challenging & surprising not only to me & my family but also to many of my relatives, friends & co-pilgrims when they knew that both my knees were replaced 10 months ago.
However, I would have been happier person if I were to become totally Knee Pain Free within 4 to 6 months which is what I was originally hinted by you & few more surgeons prior to my TKR & some of friends & relatives who underwent similar surgery elsewhere. May be mine was exceptional case.
